Admiral's Cove is a hostile, divided community where death threats and lawsuits are the 'tools' used by a fractional minority so they can ignore the outcome of voter approved issues. When originally created, the Admiral's Cove Beach Club Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws were written to provide a set of checks and balances for the operation of the Beach Club. The current HOA minded Board of Directors has set upon a course of trickery and deceit to deprive Beach Club members of their voting rights. (See: Trickery)
The Bylaws change ballot that Beach Club members will be receiving soon needs to be read thoroughly, it probably will not be as straightforward as ballots of the past. Pay attention to all voting options. Be sure you are voting 'Yes' to the changes you support and 'No' to the changes you do not support. Voting 'Yes' for all changes should be avoided unless there is an option to vote 'No' for all changes. The more people that vote the better. Do not allow a few voices to speak for the community, the only way your opinion will be heard is by voting.
For lawsuit information, go to: Roger Close vs ACBC, and Wilbur~Frederick vs ACBC (information revealed in the Wilbur~Frederick suit can be read at: Discovery). Board Meeting Minutes when two Cove residents received death threats can be read here.
In my opinion, the 2015 Bylaw Change ballot is the latest attempt to convert the 'Beach Club' into a 'HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION'. Current proposals will change Board Members terms of office, change their job descriptions and remove voting rights of the membership. If successful that action will have a direct and immediate impact on your finances and the control of your property.
